You can find Raipur Rotocast Limited at C-9 in the Thiru-Vi-Ka Estate, which is part of the Guindy Industrial Estate. Being in Guindy means we are surrounded by all sorts of engineering and manufacturing shops. Our facility is focused on casting work, so it gets very hot inside. The smell of molten metal and sand is something we are all used to by now. It’s a tough environment, and we don't have many frills. The office is just a small corner separated by a thin wall from the main floor. We spend our time checking moulds and looking over the production schedules. We don't have a big corporate board or a fancy reception desk. It’s mostly just us in our boots and work gear. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to spend half the night fixing it so we don't fall behind. The Thiru-Vi-Ka Estate is a busy place, and there’s always movement of goods in and out of the gates. We don't use a lot of flowery language to describe what we do. We just cast parts and ship them out to the people who need them. It’s honest, heavy work that leaves you tired at the end of the day. We’ve been at C-9 for quite a while and we know the rhythms of the estate well. We just keep the fires going and get it done, year after year.
