Tambour Exporters

Tambour Exporters is located at No. 1 Thiruve Edi Amman Street, right in the heart of R A Puram. It’s a busy little corner of the world. We are on the ground floor, so we see everyone walking by to the temple or the shops. It’s a lively place to work. Our office isn't very big, so we have to be careful about where we put things. We handle various exports, mostly helping local goods find their way to markets in other countries. It involves a lot of list-making and double-checking weights and measures. I’ve been here for a few years now, and the routine is pretty much the same every day. We open up early, check the emails, and start coordinating with the transporters. The fans overhead hum all day long. Sometimes we have a bit of a laugh when things get chaotic, but mostly we just focus on the task at hand. We don’t have a public relations team or a polished image. We’re just regular people doing a job. The street outside can get quite loud with the traffic, but we’ve gotten used to it. It’s a good spot because everything we need is close by. We try to be helpful when people come in with questions, even if we are in the middle of a big project. That’s just the way things are done around here. We just stay focused on our lists and boxes.
