Our workspace is tucked away on VOC 1st Cross Street in Kodambakkam. It is right behind Ram Theatre, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. Quadra Architects Pvt Ltd is just a small group of people doing architecture work in a regular office. It isn’t very polished. We have our computers and a few tables for meetings. The street outside gets quite busy when a movie lets out, but otherwise, it is a decent spot to work. We spend a lot of time on site visits and then come back here to draw. The office is at No 30/1. It is just a plain building. We don’t go for anything fancy. Most of the time, the desks are covered in sketches and empty coffee mugs. We’ve been in this part of Chennai for a long time. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long. Sometimes it is loud, sometimes it is quiet. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s a simple life here. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just hear about us and stop by the office. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. It feels real and honest to be in a place like this.
