Amutha Exports

Amutha Exports is located over at No. 31 on the 2nd Main Road in Hindu Colony. If you know Puzhuthivakkam, you know it can be a bit quiet in the residential pockets but busy enough once you hit the main junctions. We have been in this building for some time now. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we sit and handle the export side of things. We spend most of our time on the phone or looking at shipping schedules. There are a lot of houses around us, so we try not to make too much noise when the trucks come by to pick things up. The stairs can be a bit steep if you’re carrying heavy files, but we are used to it by now. We usually start the day early before the sun gets too hot. Puzhuthivakkam can get really warm in the afternoons, so the fan is always running. We don't do much marketing or anything like that. People who need us usually find us through word of mouth or by just seeing our address. It’s a local business through and through. We keep track of everything in big ledgers and on the computer. It’s a lot of coordination between the suppliers and the shipping agents. We just stay here and make sure the boxes move from point A to point B without too much trouble. It is just our daily routine.
