Sigma Souvenirs

We are situated at No. 11, which used to be No. 179, on Vellala Street in Purasawalkam. Our shop is right opposite the Gardan, so there is usually a lot of foot traffic passing by our door. It is a bit of a tight space inside because we try to keep a lot of different items in stock. You will find all sorts of small gifts, tokens, and souvenirs piled on the shelves. Sometimes it feels a bit like a treasure hunt when someone asks for something specific. We have been here for a long time and have seen the street change quite a bit over the years. The traffic can be very loud, especially during the festival seasons when everyone is out shopping. We spend a lot of our day dusting the shelves and wrapping up items in newspaper or brown paper. It is not a high-end store with bright lights; it’s more of a traditional local shop. We know the neighbors well and often chat with people as they walk past to the Gardan. The floor is old tile and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise, but it works fine. It’s just a simple place where we sell small things to help people remember their special events or trips. We just keep things going one day at a time and hope people find what they need.
