We are based in the Hope Well Centre on G P Road, which everyone knows is the main hub for auto parts in Mount Road. Our place is on the first floor, Old No 15/16. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you are here, it’s a bit quieter than the chaos on the street level. G P Road is a crazy place during the day with all the delivery vans and bikes zig-zagging around. We spend a lot of time dealing with wholesalers and the smaller shops that come to us for stock. The office is mostly just desks and computers for the orders, with a lot of movement in and out. Since we are on the first floor, we get a good view of the street, which is always interesting to watch during a tea break. We’ve been part of this market for a long time. It’s a tight-knit community of traders here. If we don’t have something, we usually know who does just two buildings down. It is not the kind of place where you come for a fancy shopping experience; it is where you come when you need to get things done. We keep the doors open and the fans running, and we just handle the business as it comes in. It’s a lot of work but it’s what we know.
