Our shop is at 15/1, Mel Ayanambakkam Road. It’s that stretch of road between Ambattur and Vanagaram in Chennai. Prasad NC Machine System has been running out of this location for a good many years. It is a very dusty and noisy area with lots of trucks passing by all the time. We work on machine systems, which means there is a lot of heavy equipment around the place. The heat in Chennai can be a bit much, so we all have our own favorite spots near the bigger fans. We don't have a fancy lobby or any air-conditioned waiting room. If you come by, you’ll probably find us with grease on our hands or looking over some blueprints. We take our work seriously, but we don't feel the need to use big words or sound like a multinational company. It’s just us, some machines, and a lot of steel. We know most of the people on this road, and we often help out when a neighbor needs a hand with something. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten quickly so we can get back to the machines. We don't have a philosophy, we just have a lot of work to do. It’s a basic, honest way of making a living, and we’ve stayed here because it works for us. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders.
