Pralav Associates

If you find yourself on School Road in Anna Nagar West, you’ll probably see our place, Pralav Associates. We are at number 588, right near the SBOA CBSE school. During the mornings and afternoons when school lets out, the whole road is packed with cycles and school vans, so we usually plan our site visits around those times. Our office is a straightforward space where we deal with all the technical bits of construction and planning. We have a couple of old desks and some computers that have seen better days. We don't spend much on decorations because we’d rather focus on the projects we have going on. It’s a local operation, mostly just us and a few regular contractors we trust. We spend a lot of time arguing over blueprints or making sure we have the right permits from the local office. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of sweat and dust involved, and sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned, but we figure it out. We like being in Anna Nagar. It’s a good neighborhood with plenty of tea stalls nearby where we take our breaks. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm in Chennai. We just want to finish the work we started and move on to the next one. It’s about getting the walls straight and the roofs solid. That’s what matters at the end of the day when the sun finally sets over the city.
