Poovitha Global Traders Private Limited is on the second floor of a building at A28, 18th Avenue, 86th Street in Ashok Nagar, Chennai. This is a pretty central part of the city, so there is always a lot of activity around us. Being on the second floor means we are a bit removed from the noise of the street, but you can still hear the horns and the people outside. We have been here for a while, and the space is filled with the usual office stuff like computers and stacks of paper. We deal with global trading, so we are often working odd hours to talk to people in different time zones. It isn't a very large office, but it works for the group of us who are here every day. Ashok Nagar is a nice place to work because everything you need is close by. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to make sure the trades go through and everyone gets what they paid for. It is a lot of detail-oriented work, and sometimes it gets a bit stressful when things are moving fast. We don't do much in terms of promotion or fancy branding. Most of our work comes through people we have known for years in the trading business. We just keep our heads down and focus on the daily logistics of moving goods from one place to another.
