K. S. P. Bearings & Spares

K. S. P. Bearings & Spares is sitting right at No. 42 on Trunk Road in Poonamallee. Being on the main road means there’s never a quiet moment with all the buses and lorries passing by. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, filled with boxes of bearings and different spare parts. It’s a bit of a maze if you don’t know where things are, but we have it all memorized. We’ve been here long enough that we can usually find what a customer needs just by looking at the part they brought in. The counter is old and has some scratches from years of heavy metal parts being slid across it. We don’t bother with fancy displays or lighting. People come here because they have a machine that’s broken down and they need a specific part to get it running again. We spend our days checking part numbers and talking to mechanics. It can get greasy and dusty, but that’s part of the trade. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the inventory inside out. Sometimes we have to wait for a delivery to arrive from the warehouse, but we try to keep the basics in stock. It’s a straightforward business. We open the shutters in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer of the day. No complications, just parts and spares for whoever needs them.
