PJ Signs

PJ Signs is based on the first floor of a building in Narasingapuram. It’s a quiet little street in Maduvankarai, which is part of the Guindy area. We have been in this spot for a while, and the stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, so carrying big signboards down can be a real chore sometimes. The space is mostly filled with cutting tables and rolls of vinyl. We do a lot of our assembly work right here on the floor. It’s usually just a couple of us working at any given time. The room gets a lot of sun in the afternoon, which makes it pretty warm, but the breeze from the window helps. We don't have a fancy reception or anything, just a small counter where people can drop off their requests. Most of the time, the air is filled with the sound of the plotter cutting out letters or someone hammering a frame together. Being in Guindy means we are close to a lot of other businesses, so things stay pretty busy. We usually start the day by clearing off the workspace from the night before. There are always scraps of material and bits of tape around, but that's just part of the job. It’s a functional place where we focus on getting the signs finished and out the door to wherever they need to go.
