Phoenix Design Studios

We've been at No 48 on PS Siva Swamy Road for a while now. The 2nd lane here in Mylapore gets quite busy, especially being so close to Padrino Restaurant. Most days at Phoenix Design Studios are just us working through projects and figuring out layouts. It’s not a huge office, just a practical space where we handle design stuff. People usually find us by looking for the restaurant first. We don’t really do fancy presentations. It is more about getting the job done. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud, but we get used to it. We keep our doors open for anyone who needs to drop off files or talk about a plan. It’s a local spot. The building is older but it works for what we do. We mostly spend our time staring at screens or sketching things out. My desk is usually a mess of papers and half-empty coffee cups. Being in Chennai, the afternoons get really hot, so we usually have the fan going full blast. It’s a simple setup. Nothing too flashy here. Just a few of us working on designs and making sure things look right. We know the area well. If you are walking down from the main road, just look for the lane near the eatery. We’ve been here long enough that most of the shopkeepers know us. It’s just how we run things, day in and day out, without much fuss. We often stay late when a project is due, but we enjoy the work.
