Petlife Clinic And Spa

The clinic is located over in Tharamani, specifically on Cholamanar Street which is just off the 100 Feet Road. It’s a busy part of the city, so there is always a lot going on right outside the door. We have the clinic side and then the spa side, which means there’s usually water running or a dryer going somewhere in the back. It gets a bit humid inside when we are washing a lot of dogs. The floor is tile, which makes it easier to spray down at the end of the shift. We spend a lot of time sweeping up fur. It seems like no matter how much you sweep, there is always a little more in the corners. People find us easily because of the location in Zone No 2. It’s a pretty standard layout inside. We have a counter where people check in and then the different sections for the grooming and the medical stuff. Sometimes it gets loud when the dogs start talking to each other across the room. We don’t have a lot of staff, so everyone does a bit of everything. One minute you might be helping hold a cat and the next you are refilling the shampoo bottles. It’s practical work. We don’t try to make it look like something it isn't. It’s just a place in Thanthai Periyar Nagar where people bring their pets when they need a wash or a checkup.
