Books Lounge

Books Lounge is basically just a small spot on Perumbakkam Main Road. We are really close to the Perumbakkam Church, so most people use that as a landmark when they are trying to find us for the first time. It is not a very big place, just enough room for a few rows of shelves and some chairs for people to sit down if they want to flip through a few pages before buying anything. We started this because there weren't many places around here to just sit and look at books. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded on the weekends when families come by, but during the week it stays pretty quiet. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the stacks get a little messy when people are browsing. It is just part of how a book place should be, I think. We have all sorts of stuff, from stories to school books and some magazines too. The lighting isn't great in the back corner, but we are working on that when we have some extra time. We spend most of our day just unpacking boxes or talking to the regulars who live around the neighborhood. It is a simple life here. If you are walking down the main road, you will see our sign. Just head towards the church and you can't really miss the shop. It is a good place to hide from the sun for a bit.
