We operate out of a building called Leela Illam, which is at number 3 on Ashokan Street in Chitlapakkam. It’s a quiet residential neighborhood in the Kancheepuram district, right on the edge of Chennai. Peeyem Industrial Consultants has been based here for quite some time. We don't have a big glass office in a tech park. Instead, we work from this house that we converted into an office space. It feels more comfortable that way, and we don't have to deal with the stress of a busy commercial building. We spend most of our time helping industrial clients with their technical needs and paperwork. It’s a lot of detailed work that requires us to be focused. The street outside has a few trees and the neighbors are mostly families who have lived here for years. We know the milkman and the postman by name. Our office has a few old filing cabinets and desks that have seen a lot of use. We don't try to look like a big corporate firm because we aren't one. We are just a few people who know a lot about industrial setups and how to get things running. People come to us when they have a problem they can't figure out on their own. We don't have a website with a lot of moving parts or anything like that. We just answer our mail and take calls when people need our help with their projects.
