Vee Vee Exports Madras is located at No 10 School Street in Pattabiram. The name of the street is pretty accurate because there are schools nearby and it gets very busy with kids and parents in the morning and afternoon. Our office is a simple place, not one of those glass-fronted buildings you see in the city center. We’ve been operating from here for a good while. We handle the export of various items, mostly coordinating between local producers and the ships at the port. It’s a lot of manual tracking and phone calls. We don't have a big fancy website or a marketing team. If you want to talk to us, you usually just call the landline or stop by the office. We spend most of our time checking boxes and making sure the labels are stuck on right. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to redo the whole pile, which is frustrating but it happens. Pattabiram is a bit quieter than central Madras, and we like the pace here. We know the people at the local shops and they know us. It’s a very grounded way to work. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just trying to run a decent business and support our families. It’s honest, hard work and that is enough for us. The daily routine keeps us busy from morning until sunset.
