We’ve been at this spot in Parrys for a while now. Shop 21 on the second floor of 186 Annapillai Street is where we spend most of our days. It’s right near the bus stop, so there’s always a lot of noise and people moving around outside. Sometimes the stairs feel a bit long when we’re carrying things up, but you get used to it. Inside, it’s mostly just us handling the paperwork and dealing with whatever needs doing for the business. Pestonil India has its roots right here in this busy corner of Chennai. Usually, the mornings start with opening the shutters and checking what came in the day before. We don’t have fancy furniture or anything like that. It is just a practical space where we can focus on work. Most of our regulars know the way up past the other shops. Parrys is a crowded area, so finding a bit of space to think can be hard sometimes, but we manage. We’ve seen the street change quite a bit over the years. The tea stall nearby is where we usually grab a quick break when things get too hectic. It’s not a big corporate office with glass walls, just a regular shop where we get things done. We try to keep things organized, though with all the files and supplies, it gets a bit cluttered. That is just how it goes when you’re busy and have a lot to manage.
