Palaniappan Clinic

If you are looking for us, we are inside Krishna Apartments, specifically at number 974 on P H Road in Purasawalkam. Being in an apartment building makes the clinic feel a bit different than a standalone hospital. It is more like a neighborhood spot. We have been here in Purasawalkam for a good bit of time now, seeing people from the surrounding flats and shops. The hallway can be a little narrow when there are a few people waiting, but we make it work. Outside on P H Road, there is always noise from the buses and bikes, but once you step inside the clinic, it settles down a little. We spend our mornings checking the medicine stocks and getting the patient records ready. It isn't a flashy place with marble floors or anything like that. We just have the basic chairs and the desks we need. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so people have to take the stairs, which isn't ideal but that’s just life in an older apartment block. We see a lot of the same faces every week, which is the nice part of being in this area. Our desks are usually piled with papers because we still do a lot of things the old-fashioned way. It’s just us here, trying to help out the folks who live nearby without making a big production out of it. It stays pretty busy until we close up for the night.
