Pain Palliative Care Clinic

Our clinic is located at Number 100 A on Dandeli Road in Velachery. It is right near the ration shop, which is the easiest way to explain where we are to anyone who is lost. If you see the crowd waiting for their supplies, then you know you are almost at our door. We focus on palliative care here, so it is usually a bit of a quiet atmosphere inside. We have some benches for people to sit on while they wait their turn. Chennai can get so incredibly hot in the summer months so we have the fans running at full speed all day. The Chari Channi area is where we have stayed for many years. The clinic itself is quite plain with just the basic things we need to help people feel a bit better. We don't have a fancy reception area or any slick marketing materials. Most of the people who come in are from the local neighborhood and they heard about us from the shopkeepers nearby. We spend our mornings checking on everyone and then the afternoons are for paperwork. It is a small operation and we do everything ourselves. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit by the window for some light. It is a very steady and simple life we have here on Dandeli Road. We know the milkman and the newspaper guy by name and they always wave when they go past the shop.
