Our office is located at 11/9 in Santhom Colony, over in Anna Nagar West. It’s a quiet enough area most days, which is nice when we’re trying to get through paperwork. We’ve been operating as P Swaminathan & Co for a long time. It’s basically a family-run type of thing. We handle various bits of work, mostly relating to civil stuff and getting projects moving for people who don’t want the headache of doing it themselves. We aren't a massive firm with a lot of departments. It’s just us. Most days involve talking to suppliers or checking on how the labor is doing at different spots around the city. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic with deadlines, but we usually find a way through it. We aren't interested in being the biggest name in town; we just want to make sure the work we do is solid. You’ll find us drinking tea and going over plans around mid-morning. The building we’re in has been there for ages, and it feels like home to us. We’ve seen Anna Nagar change from a quiet suburb to this bustling place, but we’ve stayed put. If someone needs a bit of advice on a build or needs some contracting help, they just drop by. There’s no big reception area, just a desk and some old files. We like it that way because it keeps things simple and honest. We just do the work that is in front of us.
