Jay Enterprises

Our place, Jay Enterprises, is at 88/170 Chellappa Mudali Street. It’s one of those old streets where everyone knows everyone else. The building we’re in has been around for ages, and our office reflects that. It’s got high ceilings and those old-style windows that let in a bit of a breeze if the weather is right. We mostly spend our days handling various supplies and keeping our records straight. There’s a lot of manual logging because we still like using paper for some things. The street is narrow, so when deliveries come, it’s always a bit of a scramble to get things inside quickly. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Usually, it's just the sound of us talking or the radio playing in the background while we work. We’ve got a lot of boxes piled up in the back room, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what we’re looking for. It’s a small operation here. We don't have a lot of staff, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering phones to packing up orders. It’s a long day usually, starting around nine and going until the sun is well down. We don't use any fancy management techniques. We just try to be honest with the people we deal with and make sure we don't lose track of our inventory. It’s a quiet, steady kind of life on this street.
