Located at Plot number 28 in the North Phase of the SIDCO Industrial Area in Ambattur, we are right in the middle of a lot of manufacturing activity. Orscheln Tecmologyes is a place where we focus on technical parts and assembly. The building is a standard industrial unit with high ceilings and a lot of concrete. It can get pretty loud when the machinery is running, so we’ve gotten used to speaking up. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. Instead, we have workbenches and storage racks filled with components. The floor is painted grey, though it has plenty of scuff marks from moving pallets around. We usually start the day with a quick talk about what needs to be shipped out by evening. It’s hands-on work, and most of us end the day with a bit of dirt on our clothes. Ambattur is a busy area, so getting in and out during peak hours can be a challenge. We have a small corner for our administrative tasks, but the main action is always on the floor. We drink a lot of water because it gets warm inside the plant. There’s no corporate fluff here; we just look at the drawings and make sure the parts match up. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We like the grit of the industrial area because it feels like things are actually being made here. We just stick to our schedules and do the work.
