Mari Star Pneumatics

Down in Old Washermenpet, you can find Mari Star Pneumatics. We are located at New No. 220 on Solaiappan Street. Some of the older locals still call it No. 142 though. This area is very traditional and has a lot of character. Our shop is where we handle all the pneumatic parts and equipment. It’s a bit of a tight space because we have a lot of stock kept on the shelves. There is a specific smell of grease and metal that stays in the air. We don't mind it much. Most of our days are spent fixing things or helping someone find a specific valve or hose. Solaiappan Street is always narrow and crowded. You have to be careful walking around. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time. People around here know they can just drop in if they have a question. We aren't big on fancy displays. We just put the items where we can find them. It’s a busy part of town so there is always something happening outside our door. Sometimes we have to move stuff out onto the pavement just to make room to work. It’s just how things are in Old Washermenpet. We keep the shop open six days a week. It keeps us busy and out of trouble. This is just where we work every day. We don't need a lot of space to get things done.
