Oerlikon Friction Systems India Ltd

We are based over at Shed No 50 in the Sidco Industrial Estate out in Thirumazhisai. It’s a bit of a trek from the main city, but we like it here. The industrial estate is always humming with activity. We deal with friction systems, which basically means it's a lot of technical work that can get a bit noisy at times. The shed itself is big enough for what we need, though we’re always shuffling things around to make more room. It gets pretty warm in Thirumazhisai during the middle of the day, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early when it’s cooler. We’ve got a small crew, and everyone knows their job. There’s no big corporate ladder here; if something needs fixing, whoever is closest just grabs the tools. We’ve had some of the same guys working here since we first moved into this shed. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything. People come here because they know we have the gear and the experience to handle it. Sometimes the rain makes the roads around the estate a bit messy, but we just deal with it. It’s a practical place for practical work. We spend more time looking at blueprints and machines than we do at computer screens, which is just fine with us. We just keep our heads down and make sure the output stays steady week after week. It's a quiet life in a loud shed, but it's what we know best.
