Ocean Granimarmo Private Limited

We are located over in the Guindy Industrial Estate, right on Cipet Hostel Road. Being in an industrial area means there is always a lot of machinery noise and trucks rumbling by. At Ocean Granimarmo, we deal with marble and granite slabs every single day. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the polish is okay on the stones. The unit Mf-1 is where we keep most of our stock. It gets quite hot under the tin roofs during the summer, but that’s just how it is working here. We have a small team of workers who have been with us for years. They know exactly how to handle the slabs without chipping the edges. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, but we usually find something else to do, like checking the inventory or cleaning the yard. It’s not a glamorous job by any means. Our hands are usually covered in stone dust by the end of the shift. We get orders from different places and we just try to fulfill them as best as we can. Dealing with natural stone means every piece is a bit different, which makes the work interesting I guess. We aren't a big fancy company, just a local business in Chennai trying to keep the machines running and the stones moving out the door. We stay busy and that is enough for us.
