Sun Plastics

Sun Plastics is located at No. 7/1A Th Road, right in New Washermanpet. It’s a busy part of town and our building fits right in. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of the machines and the heat from the plastic being molded. We’ve been at this address for a while and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. The work we do is pretty repetitive, but it’s what keeps the lights on. We make all sorts of plastic items, and there are always crates stacked up ready to go. It’s not the cleanest place in the world; there are usually some plastic shavings on the floor and the air smells like warm resin. We have a few guys who have been here since the start. We don’t really do fancy meetings or anything. We just check the machines, make sure the molds are clean, and keep the production line moving. Sometimes the orders get backed up and we have to work a bit later than we planned. That’s just part of being in this kind of business. The traffic on Th Road can be a nightmare for the delivery trucks, so we spend a lot of time looking out the window waiting for them to arrive. It’s a basic operation, nothing more and nothing less. We just focus on getting the daily count done and making sure nothing breaks down in the middle of a run.
