New Era Composites

Our place is at 2/65 C on S S Koil Street. If you know Mugalivakkam, you probably know the street. It’s a bit narrow sometimes, especially when someone parks a truck in the wrong spot. New Era Composites isn’t some giant factory. We are just a small shop tucked away here. We work with composites, which sounds more technical than it feels when you’re actually doing it. Mostly, it’s just a lot of manual work and making sure things set properly. The shop can get a bit warm in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast. We don't have a big front office. If you walk in, you’re basically standing right where the work happens. It’s been our home base for a long time. We know the people on the street and we try to keep the noise down when we can. Sometimes we are here late finishing up a batch, but usually, we head home when the sun goes down. There isn't a lot of fluff here. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make things. It’s practical work for practical people. If you need to find us, look for the small door with the sign that’s a little faded. We’ve been meaning to repaint it, but work always gets in the way. We keep some old chairs outside for when we take our tea break, which is usually the best part of the day. It is a humble place.
