New Balaji Art Printers

New Balaji Art Printers is at No 328/120 on T T K Road. It is a very busy street, especially if there is something going on at the Music Academy nearby. Being in Royapettah means there is always people walking past and cars honking. Our shop smells like paper and ink most of the time. It is a smell you don't even notice anymore after working here for years. We have the machines running in the back and it can get a little loud when we have a big order to get through. The front of the shop is where we keep the samples and talk to whoever walks in. Sometimes the power goes out and everything goes quiet, which is a bit of a relief but then we have to catch up later. We are not a giant printing factory. It is more of a local place where we know how the machines sound when they are about to get jammed. Royapettah is a good place to be because everything is close by. If we need something, we can just walk down the street. The building is old and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we do. We just keep our heads down and handle the printing as it comes in. It’s a lot of cutting and checking colors every day.
