National Fire Armour

National Fire Armour is located right over on Kutty Street in Nungambakkam, just across from the main Sterling Road area. It’s a busy spot, and finding parking nearby can be a real headache some days. Our office is number 41-A. Inside, you’ll mostly see stacks of equipment and various supplies we need to keep on hand. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is kept. The phone rings a lot during the day, mostly people asking about their equipment or checking on some paperwork. We spend a good amount of time checking gauges and looking over the stock we have in the back room. Nungambakkam gets very hot in the afternoons, so we usually keep the door closed to try and stay a bit cool. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t spend much on decorations or fancy furniture. Most of the desks are old and have scratches from years of use. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the entrance for a few minutes while they unload new stock. We just work through it and try to stay on top of the list of things to do. It’s a lot of manual work, moving things around and making sure things are labeled correctly. We’ve been at this location for some time now and most of the locals know our faces by now.
