Our shop is right on No.10 Kanni Tamil Street in Bv Nagar. It’s a quiet corner in Nanganallur compared to the main roads. We spend our days surrounded by stuff for fish farms and water setups. You can usually find us near the front door of Indirani Aqua Farm Suppliers where we keep the larger bags of feed. The air smells a bit like fish food and plastic pipes most of the time. We have shelves filled with different sizes of nets and some aerators piled up near the back. People from around the area stop by to ask about pumps or just to see what new supplies we got in. Kanni Tamil Street can get a bit narrow when people park their scooters outside, so we try to keep the sidewalk clear. It’s just a basic shop with a tiled floor that we have to sweep a lot because of the dust from the street. We handle the lifting ourselves mostly. When the sun hits the street in the afternoon, it gets pretty warm inside, so we keep the fan going. We have been here for a while and the neighbors know us well. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. If someone needs something specific for their pond, we look through the catalogs or check the store room. It’s a simple life running a supply business in this part of town and we don't have any plans to move.
