We run Namakkal Lakshmi Travels Service from No 195 on Linghi Chetty Street. It’s on the first floor, so you just have to walk up the one flight of stairs to reach us. This part of Parrys is quite legendary for being busy all the time. Our office is a basic setup where we do travel work, mostly focusing on helping people get their trips sorted. There’s a lot of talking to people about where they want to go and what time they need to be there. We don’t have any big posters or fancy lights, just the desks and some chairs for people to sit while we talk. Linghi Chetty Street can be a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to it, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels like home. We handle the bookings and make sure the details are written down correctly so there are no mistakes later. It’s a lot of manual work, checking lists and making calls. Sometimes it gets quite hot in the afternoon, but we just keep the fans going and stay on task. People in the area know us as a place to get their travel needs handled without a lot of fuss. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just run a small travel service in a very busy part of Chennai and try to help the folks who walk through our door every day.
