Our office is tucked away on Sathayamoorthy Street in Vijayalakshmipuram. It’s number 3/8, if you're looking for it in the Ambattur area. Being in Chennai, it stays pretty warm most of the year, so we keep the fans going. Muthiah Chit Funds has been running from this spot for some time now. We aren't a big corporation with glass walls. It’s just a neighborhood office where people from around here come to manage their chits. Sometimes neighbors just drop in to chat while they’re out doing errands. We keep the ledgers ready and try to stay organized. It can get a bit crowded on collection days. Everyone knows each other, which makes the day go by faster. The street outside can be a bit tight for parking, but folks find a way. We like being part of the 600053 community. It feels right to be where the people are. No fancy signs or big ads, just the name on the door and us inside working. My chair squeaks a little but it’s comfortable enough for a long day. We handle the paperwork and make sure everyone’s accounts are handled properly. It’s honest work. Most of our regulars have been with us for years. That’s just how things go around here. We just unlock the gate in the morning and wait for the first person to show up.
