Up here on the 8th floor of the Capitale Building, the view of Anna Salai is something else. You can see the traffic crawling along Teynampet all day long. Murata Electronics (India) Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away in Suite 8a. It is a bit quieter up here than down on the street level where everyone is honking. Most days, we are just busy with paperwork and looking at specs. It’s a typical office setup, nothing too crazy or fancy. We drink a lot of tea while staring at the screen. Sometimes the elevator takes forever, so you learn to be patient. Being in this part of Chennai means we are close to everything, which is helpful. We don’t really have a big sign outside that you can see from the road, you just have to come into the building. It’s a lot of people in shirts and trousers doing their best to keep things organized. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big speeches. We just handle the electronics business as it comes. Usually, it’s just the sound of keyboards and the AC humming in the background. It feels like a regular place to work. We’ve been in this building for some time now and the security guards know us by name. It is just a normal office in a busy part of town.
