Multi Impex

Multi Impex is located at what used to be Old No.145, but is now New No-299 on Linghi Chetty Street. We are up on the first floor in the Parrys area. If you’ve ever been to Parrys, you know how crowded and narrow the streets can be. It’s a whirlwind of activity out there with people pushing carts and motorcycles weaving through the crowds. Inside our office, it’s a bit quieter, but not by much. We handle a lot of import and export stuff, so there’s always paperwork from the port and customs lying around. The building is one of those old ones with high ceilings and thick walls that keep the heat out reasonably well. We’ve got desks squeezed into almost every corner to make room for the files and the samples we receive. There isn't any fancy decor here, just functional furniture and a few old fans that have seen better days. We spend a lot of our time coordinating between the suppliers and the shipping agents. It’s a lot of tracking numbers and checking schedules. Everyone here has been doing this for years, so we know the local rhythms of the street and the port. We usually grab tea from the same guy downstairs every morning. It’s a busy, gritty way to work, but it’s what we know and we’re used to the constant movement of Parrys. That’s just life at Multi Impex.
