We are located on the first floor at 7 Vellayan Road in Kotturpuram. Mudhra Furnishings Pvt Ltd isn’t a huge operation, but we stay busy with the local projects. Kotturpuram is a nice area, quite green compared to the rest of the city, and Vellayan Road is usually pretty calm. Our floor is filled with samples of upholstery and window coverings. We have some heavy chairs for customers to sit on, and the windows let in a good amount of light during the day. We don’t use any corporate scripts when we talk to people. We just show them the books of fabric and tell them what’s in stock. Sometimes we have to go out to a client's house to take measurements, which is a nice change from being in the office all day. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, but you get used to them. We have a small pantry where we make tea in the afternoons. It’s a relaxed atmosphere here, but we take the work seriously. If a stitch is off or a measurement is wrong, we fix it right away. We don’t spend money on big ads; we just rely on people telling their friends about us. The fans on the ceiling keep the air moving, and there is usually a stack of design magazines on the side table for anyone to look at.
