Our office is tucked away in the Anmol Tilak Apartments in Mehta Nagar. Specifically, we are on 3rd Street in the Officers Colony area of Chennai. It is a bit of a residential feel around here, which is nice compared to the really crowded commercial zones. We represent the Seaways division of TCI. The office is not very big, but it serves us well for what we do. We handle a lot of the coastal transport stuff from here. Most of the day is spent checking on vessel schedules and talking to people at the port. It is a lot of back and forth. The apartment building is easy to find once you get onto 3rd Street. We have been here for a bit, so we know the local shops and where to get a decent tea. It is not a flashy setup. We just have our desks, the phones are usually ringing, and there is always a pile of documents to go through. Being in Chennai, the weather is usually hot, but we keep the fans going and just get on with it. It is practical work. We do not have any big signs or anything, just the address on the door. It is a quiet spot to manage the shipping side of the business. We focus on the daily grind of moving cargo across the water. It is not glamorous, but we make sure the containers get to where they need to go.
