We are set up on the ground floor of a building on Thakuddin Khan Street in Triplicane. The address says New 9, but it used to be Old 3/2, which is just how things are around here in Chennai. The neighborhood is always alive with noise and traffic. Our office is right there on the street level, so we see everyone passing by. We handle international couriers, which means we spend a lot of time looking at stamps and customs forms. It is a lot of manual work, sorting envelopes and small packages. We have a small team, and we all pitch in with whatever needs to be done. Sometimes we are drinking tea while waiting for the next delivery to arrive. The shop isn't much to look at, just some shelves and a couple of desks. We do not have a uniform or anything like that. We just wear what is comfortable for the weather. Triplicane can get really humid, so the fan is always running. We have known some of our customers for years and they just drop by for a chat even if they do not have a package to send. We just try to keep things organized and get the courier bags out on time. It is a decent living and it keeps us right in the heart of the community. We do not need fancy slogans to do our daily work.
