Our place is at 2/159, Big Street in Narasingapuram. We’re located via Perambakkam in the Tiruvallore Taluk. The Pin is 631 402. Big Street isn’t actually that big, but it’s the main way through our part of the village. It’s a rural setting, so we are surrounded by a lot of greenery and open space which is a nice change from the city. The office is a basic structure, nothing like the high-tech buildings you see in Chennai. We’ve got some sturdy desks and a few computers, and a lot of engineering charts pinned to the walls with tape. It can get pretty dusty with the wind blowing across the fields, so there's a constant battle with the cleaning and the dusting. We’re an engineering firm, so there’s always bits of metal or tools lying around in the back area where we keep the supplies. The people who work here are mostly from the surrounding villages, so it feels like a big family most days. We drink a lot of coffee, made the local way with plenty of milk. It’s a quiet place to work, far away from the city noise and the traffic jams. Sometimes a cow or two might wander past the front door, which is just part of life here. We don't have any flashy signs or glass walls. It’s just a functional space where we do our engineering work and manage our local projects. We like the pace here.
