Our spot is over in Vinayagapuram, Chennai. We are at Plot 5 and 6, Door Number 3 on 2nd Street. It’s a quiet enough area for the most part. We do a mix of retail and exporting, mostly protein-related things. It’s an interesting business because people are always looking for these products now. The office and the retail part are joined together. We don't have any flashy displays or expensive decorations. It’s just shelves and some desks. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure we have enough for the local customers and the export orders. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat. We have a small staff and we all do a bit of everything. One minute I’m on the computer, the next I’m helping move a crate. The 600106 area is growing, so there are always new buildings going up around us. It makes the roads a bit dusty. We try to keep the products clean and organized. It’s not a corporate headquarters, just a place of work. We handle the shipping labels ourselves and make sure the courier picks them up on time. It’s a lot of small tasks that add up. We like being in this part of Chennai. It feels like home to us, and the work keeps us pretty busy from morning to night. Every day is a little different depending on what orders come in.
