Vijaya Crystal Arts

You have to come up to the third floor of the Chindhamani Building on Meeran Sahib Street to find Vijaya Crystal Arts. The building at number 27 is one of those older ones in the area. We’ve been here quite a while now. The space is filled with glass, crystals, and all the tools we use for the engraving and assembly. It’s a bit of a walk up the stairs, but the light is better on the higher floors. We mostly work on small orders for people who want something specific made. It’s not a mass-production factory. We sit at our benches for hours, sometimes just working on one piece. There are shelves everywhere with samples we’ve made over the years, some of them are a bit dusty now. We don't have a receptionist or a sales team. If you walk in, you’ll probably see us with our magnifying glasses or polishing cloths. It’s quiet work, which is a nice break from the noise on Meeran Sahib Street below. Sometimes we have to wait a week or more for the right materials to arrive, so things can be slow. We use an old desk for all our billing and keep the receipts in a shoe box. It’s a simple setup, but it’s been working for us. People find us mostly through word of mouth or by seeing our small board at the building entrance.
