We occupy the stretch from 169 to 173 on Angappa Naick Street. It’s an old part of the city, and the buildings here have a lot of character, even if they are a bit worn down. Moulana Company Ltd has been operating from this spot for years. The street outside is narrow and usually packed with people and carts. It can be a bit of a headache to get to, but it’s home for us. Inside, the space is divided up into different sections. We have a lot of old wooden desks and shelves that are sagging under the weight of ledgers and papers. It’s not the most organized-looking place, but we know where everything is. There’s a certain smell to the air here—like old paper and tea. We spend our days mostly answering the phone and writing things down in big books. Sometimes we have to shout to be heard over the noise from the street. It’s a very traditional way of working, I suppose. We don't have the latest gadgets or modern furniture. We just use what works. The fans overhead hum all day long, and we keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze we can get. It’s a busy, cramped, and honest place to spend a workday. We’ve seen the city change around us, but Angappa Naick Street feels like it belongs to another time. We just keep doing what we've always done.
