Our office is on the first floor on Errabalu Chetty Street in Parrys. It’s an old part of the city, and the building has some history to it. At Motherland Shipping Company Pvt Ltd, we deal with the daily grind of the shipping world. Being in Parrys means we are right in the middle of all the commercial action. You can hear the traffic and the vendors from our windows. We have a lot of paperwork to go through every day. It’s mostly about making sure the shipping documents are in order for the different ports. We aren't a high-tech firm. We use our computers, but there are still plenty of notebooks around with scribbled notes. Sometimes the stairs up to the first floor feel a bit steep after a long day. We have some heavy desks and old chairs that have been with us for years. It’s a comfortable enough place to work. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations because that isn't why we are here. We focus on the containers and the schedules. If a ship is late, we stay late to handle it. That's just how the shipping life works. We've been at this address, New No 10, for a while now. It’s just a group of us trying to keep things moving. Nothing too complicated about it. We close up when the day is done.
