The building is at No 542 T.t.k Road in Alwarpet. If you know the area, you know how the traffic can get near the junction. We spend most of our time here dealing with the day-to-day of maternal care. It’s a lot of expectant mothers coming in for scans or just regular check-ups. There is usually a bit of a wait, but we have chairs set out in the lobby area. The front desk stays fairly busy with appointments and insurance stuff. Inside, the walls are mostly plain, and there’s that smell of floor cleaner that you find in most healthcare spots. We’ve got different rooms for different stages of the process, from the first consultations to when things get more serious. It’s a unit of Rhea Healthcare, so there’s a bit of back-end admin that keeps us occupied when we aren’t with people. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with kids running around or babies crying, which is pretty much expected given what we do here. The staff mostly just sticks to their routines, checking charts and making sure the rooms are tidy for the next person. It’s not a fancy setup, just a practical place on a busy road where a lot of life happens. We see a lot of families come through those doors every week, and we just try to keep the wheels turning. The parking out front can be a bit of a squeeze during the peak hours, too. We just take it as it comes.
