Monikandan Ias Academy

Our academy is situated in Thirumangalam at No 15/63 A on V V Kovil Street. We are part of the Thiruvalleswarar Nagar area, which is a bit of a maze if you are not from around here. Monikandan Ias Academy is basically a few rooms where we keep our books and study materials. People coming here are usually very focused on their exams. It is not a place for much socializing. The walls are mostly bare except for some maps and old calendars. We have a lot of bookshelves that are overflowing with guides and previous years' question papers. The lighting is okay, but we often have to bring in extra lamps during the rainy season. It is a walk-up building, so there is a bit of exercise involved just getting to the door. We do not have a fancy reception desk or anyone to greet you at the entrance. You just walk in and find a spot to sit. The street outside is usually quiet in the mornings but picks up later in the day. We have a small pantry area where we keep a kettle for tea. It helps during those long sessions when everyone is tired. The furniture is practical and nothing more. We just try to keep the place organized so everyone can find what they need among the stacks of paper. It is a dedicated space for people who are serious about their reading and preparation.
