Our place is in Kadapperi, which is part of Chennai. If you know the area, we are at number 12/14 in Ramthilak Nagar. It’s a decent neighborhood, not too loud most of the time. We handle imports and exports from here. It is mostly just a lot of paperwork and making sure the containers are moving. Being in Chennai means it is always humid, so the fans are always on in the office. We started this because we knew a bit about how shipping works. It’s not a huge operation with hundreds of people. Just a few of us making sure things don't get stuck at the port. My desk is usually covered in forms and shipping bills. Sometimes we have to stay late if a shipment is coming in. We don't have a big sign outside or anything. Just the address. Most of our neighbors are just regular families or other small shops. It’s a 600045 pin code area. We talk to people from all over, mostly on the phone or email. It’s interesting to see what comes in and what goes out. Some days are just boring office work, other days are a bit of a rush. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just move goods and try to keep things organized in the books. It’s a living, and it keeps us occupied throughout the week and the year.
