Madhavan Impex

Our business, Madhavan Impex, is located at No. 50/22 in Varun Apartments on Venugopal Street in Mogappair. Since we are in an apartment building, it feels a bit different than a regular factory or shop. It’s a bit more personal, though it can be a squeeze when we have a lot of samples or documents lying around. We use a couple of rooms for our office work and storage. Venugopal Street is a residential area, so it stays relatively quiet compared to the main roads of Mogappair. We have to be careful not to make too much noise so we don't bother the neighbors living upstairs or next door. Most of what we do involves coordinating with suppliers and making sure deliveries are on track. We spend a lot of time on our computers and phones. There isn't a big sign outside, just our name on the door so people know they have the right place. It’s a small operation, just a few of us handling everything from start to finish. Sometimes the delivery guys get confused finding the right apartment, but they usually figure it out after a quick call. We like being in this part of the city because it’s easy to get to, but still feels like a home. We don’t have any fancy boardrooms or receptionists. If you come by, you’ll just find us working at our desks surrounded by piles of papers and boxes. It’s just our way of doing things and it works for us.
