We are situated at number 7, Sultan Street in Chennai. It’s a bit of a funny thing because the name on our papers says Mitsubishi Elevators Saudi Limited, Saudi Arabia, Makkah, but here we are in the heart of Tamil Nadu. The street is usually packed with people and scooters, so getting to the office in the morning can be a bit of a struggle. Once you get inside, it’s a bit calmer. We handle a lot of the coordination from here. The office is pretty basic, just the usual stuff you’d expect like desks, some filing cabinets that have seen better days, and a couple of computers that sometimes take their time to load. We get a lot of phone calls throughout the day, mostly people asking about elevator parts or scheduling a technician to go out. The humidity in Chennai is no joke, so the fan is always on high speed. We usually have tea brought in from the corner shop twice a day, which is a nice break from the screen. It’s a straightforward environment. We don't spend much on decorations because we’re mostly busy with the logistics of the elevator business. Sultan Street has its own rhythm, and we’ve just become part of it over the years. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure things are moving where they need to go. We keep our heads down and get the work done.
