Mip Alloy

Mip Alloy is situated at No. 45 on 11th Link Street in the Nehru Nagar Industrial Estate. It is a busy corner of the world where there is always the sound of metal clanging or trucks idling. We work in a space that is mostly open to let the air circulate because the work we do can get quite warm. The floor is concrete and usually has a bit of dust or metal shavings on it by the end of the day. 11th Link Street is one of those places where everyone knows each other’s business because we are all right on top of each other. We spend a lot of our time checking the alloys and making sure the batches are right. It is a lot of standing and moving around. We don't have a fancy office, just a small corner with a table and some ledgers where we keep track of everything. The tea stall at the end of the street is where we usually go when we need a break. Nehru Nagar is a tough place but it’s where the real work happens. We get here early and usually stay until the sun starts to go down. There’s no big secret to how we do things, we just show up and put in the hours every day at No. 45. Some days the humidity makes the metal feel heavy, but we just keep going.
