If you ever drive down G.N.T. Road in Erukenchery, you know how much traffic there is. We are right at 83/2, and the sound of heavy trucks is basically the soundtrack to our day at Millennium Papier (India) Pvt. Ltd. It’s a very industrial part of town, so there is always dust and movement. The building we are in is practical. It has to be, because we deal with a lot of paper and it takes up a lot of room. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just the bare essentials to keep things moving. The summers here can get really hot, and the fans are always humming at full speed. We usually start our day pretty early to beat the worst of the traffic on G.N.T. Road, but it doesn't always work. The staff here is mostly local, so we all know the shortcuts and where to get the best lunch nearby. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle and some cups in the corner. Most of the time, the floor is covered with scraps or rolls of paper. It’s a bit messy, but it shows we’re busy. We’ve been at this address long enough that the local delivery drivers don’t even need to look at the map anymore. It’s just where we are, doing what we do every day without any extra frills or corporate nonsense.
