We are Micro Tooling Systems Chennai P.L,. and we basically spend our days making tools and bits for other businesses. It's a crowded street sometimes, especially with the traffic in Chennai, but we've been here at number 21 for a good stretch of time. The shop floor is where everything happens. We have various machines for cutting and shaping metal into tools that actually work. It isn't always pretty work, but it's what we do. The team here just gets on with it. We aren't interested in sounding fancy or using big words to describe what’s essentially just hard work and precision. Sometimes a client comes in with a broken part or a sketch on a piece of paper, and we figure out how to make it happen. We deal with a lot of local workshops and bigger factories too. The air in the shop smells like oil and metal, which is how it should be in a place like ours. We keep our tools sharp and our heads down. Being in Arumbakkam means we're close to a lot of our customers, which makes deliveries a bit easier when the roads aren't too blocked. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. It’s just us, the machines, and the tools we make every day. It's a simple setup but it works for us.
